I tried different brands, different types of tires...Michelin is the only one up to the task.
No hassles, the Mich's are racing tires, nothing else. The only exception i'll do is to ride with Intense's Intruders FRO for very rainy days (i'll give'em a try).
I usually ride with 18 PSI front and 20 PSI rear. Last summer, i've found that my front tire lost some air, my pump was in the car (yeah...i know)... i was able to finish the ride, my Comp32 having only 4 PSI in a very rocky trail! Let's talk about freakin strong tires!
The only feature a rider shouldn't overlook is to have the stickiest compound available...THEN, look for pinchflat resistance.
I really can't understand riders who like hard compounds and high pressure...
4 psi would actually be considered a flat tire... at this stage I wouldn't be too worried with the strength of the tire... michelins are sweet, I'd rock comp 16's but the fact that they are so damn soft that the side knobs fall off after 2 weeks of riding is enough to make me buy minnions instead

I said "strong" because it didn't sliced apart on sharp rocks, didn't punctured and held up on the rim pretty well. Of course, 4 psi is VERY low (that's the gauge was reading) but it was still good to ride on.
I wasn't really worried for the rims. Good ol'Mag30's...panzer tough.
well the handle bar is in, waiting for stem, headset now.

well bike is built, all i have left to do is resize my rear brake line (its way to long right now) and get a new rear spring so i can set up my shock. i ended up riding my bars lower then i thought i would so i have a spacer on top of the stem but no biggie. first impression front end pops nice, not as stable and doesnt stick as much as my old bb7 but its a complete different bike. ill have to try it on the trails to see what kind of tweaks i can do to it. untill then ill wait for john to take decent pics for you guys.

Voila some pix of PP's bike. Sorry their not very nice I was in a somewhat off mood that day. I'll take better pictures of the bike at Bromont with a nice setting. ![]()
