Nope, I wouldn't change anything from what you intend to do. Looks to me you are going to have a sick bike for 2008 and your choice of parts is looking great. Only thing is I'm a little pissed at you,mad for doing this because now I have no choice but to complete my 2008 build as I had mentioned. In short your gona cost me money. roll

Re: The Official E^vol Great Build Up Thread

BTW, I'm going for the Transition Revolution 36 wheelset for the 36mm rims, not the 4 extra spokes. I prefer the wider rims.
I'm not 100% sure about the cassette. It'll either be an 11-21 or an 11-23 gear ratio, which is why I won't be getting a Sram PG-970 DH cassette which is only available in a 12-26 gear ratio. Too bad, it has sexy red spacers. wink I guess I have a "red parts" theme this year.

Wait a minute, I could get the PG-970 DH cassette and hopefully just install my current 11T cog on it. I wonder if that would work?
The 11T cog is for MSA's La Tordue run. I just can't get enough of hitting those blue jumps at 60+ km/h !!!!!

Yes mine will also be red but I might disassemble the wheels to strip down the hubs. One of my buddies would strip down the anodizing so I could polish them than re anodize RED. It's nice to have friends in many, many manufacturing processes. wink

I have the same cassette except I took the orange spacers. I think it should be fine if they are the same wide.

Orange spacers? I thought it was only available in red. It only says red on the Sram website.

The wheels. Sorry, but I haven't seen enough review of the transition wheels to say I trust them. I would take 729. I count on you to do a full review on the forum for those wheels . wink

The 888. Heh, I don't like much the marzochi feeling, but that's personal.

Other then that, no.

Re: The Official E^vol Great Build Up Thread

Front Hub:  Da Bomb headspin  (Dont care about front hub tongue)
Front Rim: 32 holes Transitions Revolutions RED (32mm)
Spokes: ????

Rear Hub: Anodised red Hadley Titanium
Front Rim: Transitions Revolution red (36mm)
Spokes: ????

Le Wheelset Transitions est je crois 450$. Mon build me coute environ un tout petit peut plus chere. Les 2 hoop Transitions sont 165$.

Local price for the Transition Revolution wheelset (both complete wheels) is $320 (+tax) @ ABC.
How much are the Hadley hubs?

I will review all the parts as I feel I've had enough time on them.

The wheels, hmmm.......Yaa, I know what you mean, but I've read some good reviews so far and I'm hoping they'll be good. For the money, they seem to be a pretty good choice at only $320 (+tax) for both complete wheels.
Most other "good" wheelsets are at least double the price, if not more. I could buy just the rear wheel of SunRingle's A.D.D. wheelset for the same price as both of the Transition's.
I'd never buy EX729 rims. They are fairly expensive and dent very easily. Danick's rims have HUGE dents. Dominic's are also pretty bad. Everyone says they're strong rims, but from what I've seen, they're not strong at all.
All rims dent, so why spend a lot of money on them. Just get cheaper ones and replace them more often if you really have to have straight wheels.

The only wheels I'd consider spending a lot of money on, are the Tag Wheels FRX5. ( http://www.tagwheels.com/ ) NO MORE SPOKES AT ALL !! And they use DT Swiss FR440 freeride hubs.

Thom Thom, its an Hadley man! I won't run a Formula. I don't have the option to not have an Ti cassette Body. I would take it if I could.

J'ai deja commandé mes hoop. 32 en avant et 36 en arriere donc le hub Hadley est la seul option sinon un Ringlé est 50$ de moins.
