I was tempted to go with the 11-21 gearing too but felt it was too small, I guess I'll just go with the normal 11-25
Hors ligne
i ride an 11.32. i rarely use the 32 but when i use it im happy to have it.
Hors ligne
I never use the larger cogs, so it shouldn't be a problem for me. (Hopefully)
Tonight, after work, I'll remove the plastic brace and install my DHX5.0 and the other parts which won't be upgraded.
I'll take more pics when that's done.![]()

Tony, so nice men! Really really good color! It looks better in real hein?! ![]()
Did you take the same cassette as me? For the Transitions, are they backorder like mine?
Hors ligne
For the cassette, yes, it should be the same, except in the 11-21 ratio.
For the Transition wheels, I'm still waiting for an update. Yodo's catalog says 135x10mm rear, but I need 150x12mm.....
Hors ligne
They are available in 150x12 ,im 560000% sure about that. I think all red Transitions are back order for 1 month, if I understood well my friend at the bikeshop who talk directly to the Yodo guys who chek the status of the rims in the Transition Factory.

Yes they are available in 150 x 12mm but might only be in 36 hole version. PM Jerome (Hypnotic) for Yodo info, he knows them well.
Cheers

I know them well to
I went like 6 times in 2 weeks because of my brand new dammit Atomlab hub .... ![]()
I still think they are backorder, all in red, I might be wrong to!
** Tony, is Scott still at ABC? **
Hors ligne
I know that Transition makes the wheelset in a 150x12mm size, it's just not listed in the catalog. Which is why I have to wait for more info. They don't have a part number for ordering.
So far all I have installed on the frame is the E.13 SRS guide and Saint BB cups. I could install the crank arms, but I haven't. I'm lazy. ![]()
My DHX5.0 does NOT fit. Or should I say, the spacers don't fit (Too wide). No big deal, I'll just machine them down. Man, I love having access to a lathe.
One bit of good news is that Norco has finally included a "weld dot" on the end (bottom) of the seat tube so the seatpost can't slip down too far and scratch the shock or chainstay, when fully compressed.
@ Gui....I don't know Scott. Can't say if he is there....

Nice frame tony.
Assez sexy, tu passeras pas inapercu a bromont.
Ok, peut-etre que oui, a la quantite de a-line. ![]()
Tres beau tout de meme.

WTF ????? Transition has changed their site now. They do not appear to be available in a 150x12mm spacing. WHY ????
Copied from Transition's website today:
32 and 36 Wheelset Features:
# 26" front and rear wheels
# 32mm width rim with 32 hole option or 36mm width rim with 36 hole option
# 14g stainless steel black spokes
# Sealed Cartridge Bearings (2 front, 4 rear)
# Black brass nipples
# Alloy 6061 rim with eyelets
# 20mm through axle front
# Rear Hub Options: 135mm rear hub spacing, 10mm or 12mm interchangeable solid axle. Wheelsets come standard with QR axle but nutted axles are available.
# Colors: Black, Red, White, Chocolate Brown
# Weight: 32mm Wheelset 2510g, 36mm Wheelset 2750g
And yet I copied this from their hub's page:
All hubs come with Axle (10 x 135 Solid Axle with QR)(12 x 150mm hub comes with solid axle nutted)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
However, on their homepage, they have a news update from today....
New Wheelsets
Date 01/15/08
We just got a limited run of black and white wheelsets with red hubs and our brown wheelset with gray pewter hubs.
Coming this spring we will be doing our wheelsets with our full palette of ano hubs including red, gold, green and blue.
View the white wheelset with red hubs.

Your kidding hein? I BOUGHT A RED HADLEY and now, they do red hub's ![]()
Thats sad, for you and me
! I think you should tlak with the person I talked with, because he said they will have some 150x12 in 1 month. I'll go to my bikeshop to verifie that with them.

You wouldn't believe how many little changes have been done to the '08 A-line! (Little things all over the frame)
I've installed the crank arms, shock, fork, stem and bars.
I have fixed my first problem: The shock spacers now fit very nicely, and my DHX5.0 has been installed.
However, I have noticed another change which requires a new part. The rear axle!
It used to be a threaded axle with a nut on each end. Now it's a bolt. It threads into the non-drive side of the frame. (Kind of like a Maxle, but without the QR ability)
The bike, so far...
Top view.
I got a drop style crown set to play around with. Here the '05 top crown is installed with my '06 lower crown.
Welded link plate.
Below, you can see why I don't buy expensive pedals. (I kill pedals)

I received this email from Transition Bikes regarding their wheelset.
Hey Tony, we used to do a 12x150 when we had a bike that used that
spacing but we have since sold out and are not reordering. You can order
our hubs and we do have some 12x150 left and also some red rims but your
local shop or yourself would have to build them up.

P.S. I'll give Norco a call today and get them to send me a rear axle for the frame. As far as I can figure, everything else should be fine.

Now I need to figure out what I'm going to do for my wheels. Do I buy a wheelset? Do I build a wheelset? Do I build a "nice" wheelset?
Or do I keep my wheelset and spend the cash on something else? If so....What? A VholdR?
If you guys (and gals) have any suggestions, let me know.

At the moment, I'm thinking about:
-A VholdR
-Dainese Impact Jacket Race armor
-Some other wheelset (but what?)
-Spend some extra cash out of my pocket and get a new fork
-......?
What do you guys think ?

A new pair of pedals would be a good start!
Nice looking frame, but am a bit disapointed you did not take the time to clean your parts before mounting them on such a clean frame... ![]()

Sorry if I don't know whats a Vholdr.... Somemone can explain?
Do you S-Type causes you some trouble? Or they are still good? If so, I think you should keep them and wait until they break.
