Yeah and? I don't think you should leave these rim's only for that. I heard great review's from Mtbr and some Transition bike's ryder's. Plus they have an excellent customer service if you have some problem's. S-Typ's are pinned! They are great tho! tongue

MTX are welded.
MTX S-Type's are sleeved!

But when I think about it. My 4BY had Alex Supra N rims, which were pinned, and I could not kill them. Two years of running 20psi and when I finally did get a flat tire, I kept riding for the rest of the day to try to kill them on purpose. Every time I'd get to the chairlift, people were telling me "Hey, you have a flat" and I'd tell them I was trying to kill my rim. They looked at me funny after that. hehehe

I'd like to get a Hopey steering damper for my bike. I'll see how much it'll cost before I make the decision.

Well, I know I don't need a steering damper as I didn't really have any arm pump last summer.

Re: The Official E^vol Great Build Up Thread

As most of you already know, I'm planning to get a Chris King NoThreadSet for my new frame.
That leads me to an aesthetic question for you guys.
My new frame will be the blue color, with a DHX5.0 shock. My fork, handlebar, grips, and stem are black, and the new Code's are white-ish with black levers and red adjusters. I'm also planning to install red Transition wheels.
Which color headset should I get? If I'm going to spend this much money on a headset, I want to "see" it.... (I know...roll)

Here are some of the colors which are available.

Here's an image of the frame.

A red Roco too?! roll

Really nice blue and red! For the C-K, look at the Hope headset. They do it in a lot of colors like C-K.

Re: The Official E^vol Great Build Up Thread

I found a new picture of the frame online..I am really liking the color !!!
Remember, it's only the frame that I'm getting, the rest of the parts will be a mix of new parts that I will order, and the current parts I have.

Orange spacers? I thought it was only available in red. It only says red on the Sram website.
P.S. How much does the PG-970 DH cassette cost ?

Le Guigui Coquin a écrit:

Je crois que j'ai le modele juste inférieur d'abord! Les spacers sont orange mais je pouvais les avoir en rouge aussi. La mienne étais 79 ou 89 je crois.

Well, I have figured it out...Finally!
The cassette you have is the PG970 road cassette !!!
It is available in 5 gear ratios. Which ratio do you have ?
