Re: Drop out/patte de derailleur.

To fabricate a derailler hanger is not worth it when you count your time in labour and they don't cost all that much.

Re: Drop out/patte de derailleur.

hangers are between 15 and 40 usually and they are never covered under warranty. the steel one dr.z is talking about is actually a hanger for a cheap supercycle frame that doesnt actually have a hanger and has the gay horizontal drop outs pointing todays the front wheel.

first it wouldnt fit, second would be more then ghetto.

yes pretty much saying if its under warranty get it there if not get a cheap ass derailleur hanger from the classic shimano crap  thats what bob has on its bike and does the job just fine and only cost like 3$ to put on ,i just love steel its such an easy alloy to work with ,

when are hangers under warranty??? you bend one its your own fault! the reason why bob has a shitty hanger is cause of your design! it wont fit on his bike! now stop telling him to get the shitty 3$ shimano hanger thats ment for supercycles and shit like that!

I'm not taking sides here, but having a dirty bike has nothing to do with how a rider uses his/her bike.

FYI, BrokenSpoke works on Saturday's and today is Mother's Day.

Re: Drop out/patte de derailleur.

Just to make it clear on this subject, hangers in most cases are manufacturer and or bike specific. In other words you just don't install a Rocky Mountain hanger on a NORCO as per example so a SuperCycle hanger same deal. Tartosuc gave the proper answer and left us a link to a site where they supply many different types of hangers.

Now on another note I'm getting sick and tired of the shitty responses on several threads lately and I just find it pretty rude for some to do so which I won't even bother to mention names. This site belongs to slam, Karbon and myself and the way some of you act or react is the same as entering our home with dirty shoes. mad We don't make money or gain anything here so we can just as easily shut this whole site down and walk away.

Think about it before you even bother posting next time. wink

Cheers
John

Re: Drop out/patte de derailleur.

good point , im mature enough to say , i could be wrong on a lot of thing , i just dont like smarty pants which think there better than me , im not better than anyone else even worst if it wasnt for bob id be nothing at all just a welder , but when it come to solution im the king and cheaper is better not everyone here has connection to bike store of have family member own there own store so if i offer my service for a cheap ass solution that work can anyone keep there expensive remark for themself , people are asking for help its because they dont always have cash.
